I’m so excited to share this with you guys. My mom and her husband bought a house down the shore about three years ago. Slowly but surely they are giving it all the love and updates it needs. I’m excited because this update, I got to be apart of.
They recently had the kitchen re-done. New layout, cabinets, counter tops, flooring, appliances etc. What they didn’t have done yet was the back splash. This is where I got to get involved.

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday. I just wanted to pop in to say hello – it’s been over a month since I’ve posted anything and I felt like I was neglecting the blog. BUT. I’m excited to share that I will have new content coming. May is also forecasting to be a busy month but I’m hopeful I will still be consistent in posting. So keep an eye out!
The past month has been nothing but studying. I took part 1 of 3 of my professional exams (becoming a licensed interior designer via NCIDQ) so pretty much all of my time an energy was spent there, hence, the lack in posting. While I’m here though – thank you to all of my followers and welcome to all of my new ones, I hope you enjoy this as much as I love sharing it.
Ps. How dreamy is that blue chair? I wish that’s what I was sitting in while studying!
It’s finally March – which means we are that much closer to warmer weather and everything winter goes away until next year. That also means new spring decor! This year, I made a promise to myself to keep with a budget every month and to become more of the ‘do it yourself’ type to also try to save money. I’ve only started out small but wanted to share my little project!

To keep up with my posting schedule of twice a month, I have a whole bunch of things coming that I’m excited about. Since they are in the works (I occasionally post sneak peaks and ideas on my Instagram), I figured I’d share a new recipe. This one is quick, easy, and homemade. It’s also an easy way to use those bananas that are sitting in the kitchen getting brown and the peanut butter sitting in the pantry.

Before I divulge into this recipe, I’d like to take a moment. Thank you to all my followers for joining along on this crazy journey we call life and finding the in-betweens with me! I truly appreciate it. I’m excited to share that, I’ve set up another way (in the sidebar under the Author) to follow along with email updates every time there is a post!
Now – for the cupcakes.

With time off over the holidays and several episodes of Fixer Upper later, I decided to take a fresh look at our bedroom. Up until that point our bedroom reflected me. Now I say that because I lived here a year before living here with Peter. I decided that with the other changes I wanted to make this year, our bedroom was one of them. I wanted to create a feeling of bliss, simplicity, and love. I challenged my self to do this on a small budget and use what was already in the room – with a few small add ons.

I just wanted to pop in to share something I’ve been thinking about. In the midst of what feels like a pretty overwhelming time – between preparing for Pete to move in and weddings, I’ve realized the importance of saying yes to all things spontaneous.
A month or so ago, one of my girlfriends from work (what you could call my “work bestie”) wanted to go to the beach. Now, we joke on a regular basis that we’re just going to leave at lunch and escape to the beach (we’ve never done that).
